Sometimes I sit in church and pray for a Word or an Insight or a Direction

But Nothing

Sometimes I have a little cash, so I go to the store and look around

Nothing

Sometimes I go to a park and walk around, looking for inspiration

Nothing

This is most of life

Nothing

Praise God! I have my joys and sorrows, my family, my jobs, my callings, my rest,

My house, my vehicles, my pets, my garden,

But Nothing satisfies

My body yearns for new experiences, but when they come

Nothing

And that is the way it should be. I know that now. God will take away, make small, make meaningless, create barriers, put up endings

Because nothing

Nothing but God

He wants me. He is Jealous and Protective. Nothing separates me from Him, and it is He that does this.

God is All.

“For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 8:38-39

  1. We went a bit differently but used the same verses. I think those are the verses God would have us to remember today :)

  3. I can't get no satisfaction,
    or so Mick Jagger said,
    but that thinking is distraction
    from the living dead,
because the world is full of wonder,
    destinations, things to do,
and it seems more crime than blunder
    not to see it through
with a kind of childlike verve,
    a shout of adolescent glee
that strikes the grey grown-up nerve
of those who are not me,
and though I may be marked to die,
while I'm here, my heart will fly.
